Dr. Shylaja S S
Dr. Shylaja S S is the Director for CCBD and CDSAML and Professor in the Dept of CSE. Prior to this, she has held the position of Chairperson for over 2 decades. She completed her bachelor’s degree from UVCE, Bangalore University in 1989, master’s degree from JCE, Mysore University in 1993. She topped university at master’s level with 1st Rank. She has completed a ‘C’ level course from DOEACC and Ph.D in field of Face Recognition from Visvesyaraya Technological University (VTU). She has 30+ years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience. She has several publications to her credit. She has taught various courses and guided several projects and research work at UG, PG and PhD levels. She is VTU EDUSAT subject expert for subjects like System Software and UNIX Shell Programming. Her research areas include Image processing, computer vision, NLP and Machine Learning. She has several journal articles, national and international conference publications, Books and Book chapters to her credit.
