Dr. Vadde is very keen to convert novel research and ideas from PES into innovations, including his own Sensor domain. Recently, he started up an Innovation Lab for product design and prototyping in Whitefield, to work with PES students on cutting edge ideas. The motivation behind this Lab is to help any student or industry client convert their idea into a market ready prototype. Dr. Vadde has also established an underwater acoustics lab in the PES University campus which can be used to conduct experiments with underwater sensors for sensing, communication and signal processing research. The Lab has a 2-axis scanner to locate sensors in an underwater tank facility sized 5m x 3m x 2m (depth). This was with the NRB assistance, and is available for hands-on research. In addition, he manages a computational facility that can seat 5-6 graduate researchers to perform simulations using Matlab and Simulink.
