Radar Antenna Sidelobe Reduction Techniques

We tend to obtain the angle estimate of the target, by transmitting a pulse towards the target and obtaining the echo in four different receivers. To achieve this we simulate a target and perform Digital Pulse Compression (DPC) and Doppler filtering, by forming eight filter banks, thus separating target from stationary clutter and to obtain monopulse sum and difference pattern, Digital Beam Forming (DBF) technique is followed.

Genetic Algorithm & other Optimization Techniques

Element failure in the active antenna array hamper the performance of the active antenna array. Optimization techniques like Genetic Algorithm, Particle swarm optimization, Iterative Fourier Transform are proposed for element failure mitigation in active antenna arrays. It is found that among all, PSO gives the best approximation in terms of Beam width and time taken to approximate.

FPGA Implementation of Error Detection and Correction for Space Application

Design and implementation of error detection and correction recommended by CCSDS. Combination of the two codes can be used to form concatenated codes with RS code through intermediate interleaving and an inner binary convolutional code which provide higher efficiency and coding gain.

RCS reduction of Canonical Targets using Genetic Algorithm systhesized RAM

A novel procedure for synthesizing radar absorbing materials(RAM) for RCS reduction in a wide band. Modal solutions are integrated into a GA optimization technique to obtain the best optimal composite coating.

Digital Beam Former and implementation on FPGA- Approaches for implementation of fixed weight digital beamformer and an adaptive beamformer using QRD-RLS algorithm for Phased array radar applications.

Beam Steering and Timing Controller- Design of an FPGA based beam steering controller for active phased array radar.

Signal Seperation /Pattern identification in complex audio signals Wireless audio solution- Proto Model of Hearing aid developed; production process is on Modelling the working of a Polymeric thin film with a multiphysics approach for NEMS Sensor Node applications.

IR Data Communication between computers- Design IR transmitter and receiver that can be connected to the Labtop computers using USB port for file transfer– establishment of wireless IR link- exploting the advantage of noise immunity.

Vehicle Tracking System – Design tracking unit using GPS and transmit along with Geofencing uing crossing number algorithm.

BPSK Demodulation in presence of Doppler- Low bit rate data demodulation and extract data in presence of high Doppler shift.

FPGA Implementation of CODE Acquisition Loop for CDMA – the code acquisition technique is chosen and the system is designed and verified using SIMULINK. Demodulated data is realized as RTL schematic and then implemented on a FPGA board.
