Dr. Ram P Rustagi is a Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at PESIT and heads the PES Center for Network and Security. He graduated with an M.Tech in Physical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 1981 and a Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India in 1998. Dr Rustagi’s research interests are in the areas of Computer Networks, Vehicular Networking and Vehicular Cloud, Software Defined Networking, Network and Cyber Security etc. He has supervised (completed) one Ph.D thesis and currently supervising two Ph.D Students.
Dr Rustagi is actively professionally engaged and member of following professional societies: IEEE – Senior Member, and ACM – member. At Advanced Computing and Communications (ADCOM-2014) he is session chair for Ph.D Forum and also regular peer reviewer of IEEE ANTS and IEEE ADCOM Conferences. He is also the lead contact for Cisco Network Academy at PESIT. He is involved in consulting and advising industry and delivers guest lectures to Industries and other academic institutes He is also serving as Member Board of Directors, Altima Technologies, IL, USA.
