The domain is led by Dr S.Natarjan who holds a PhD degree in Remote Sensing from Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) and having 33 years of experience in Research and Development followed by a decade of experience in Teaching and Research. He served Defence Research and Development Laboratory during the initial period of 5 years followed by with the work at National Remote Sensing Centre (a unit of Indian Space Research Organization) for 28 years. His expertise varies from the design and development of Software for Remote Sensing Satellites as well as Missiles. He has executed several Infrastructure related projects of national importance such as Urban Mapping, Town Planning and Utility Management during his tenure at NRSC. His current research interests are in Data Mining, Soft Computing and Geographical Information Systems.
